What Is Appointment Community Prep For Children?
This unique program is designed for children ages 3–11 who experience anxiety, fear, or sensory sensitivity when visiting public places such as clinics, stores, or social environments. Whether a child is navigating medical trauma, neurodivergence, grief, or simply needs help building social confidence, Appointment Community Prep offers a private, supportive approach.
Each session runs 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the location and the needs of the child, with a maximum of 2 children per session. Parents are encouraged to attend and participate in the prep journey.
How It Works
We organize personalized visits and walk-throughs of local spaces to reduce unfamiliarity and gently expose children to new environments. These tours are structured to help children feel safe, supported, and empowered before future appointments or events.
